Delta Airline switches from Microsoft to Apple’s iOS
Delta wants to put the iPhone 7 Plus to replace the fleet of Nokia handsets, with the iPad Pro taking over the place of Microsoft’s Surface tablet. As we said, Delta has been working with Microsoft for a long time now. However, Delta Airline believes that it is time to try something new to satisfy its onboard customers, pilots and flight crews. One more thing, Delta is doing this because Microsoft phones and tablets are dead, no more production of these devices.
The transition will affect “more than 23,000 flight attendants and 14,000 pilots,” according to an email sent to Delta employees. All will receive an iPhone 7 Plus or an iPad Pro “as the airline transitions to its next generation of flight crew devices.”

Delta Airline confirmed that there would be a bunch of complete tools for pilots and flight crew powered by iOS. This includes software like Jeppesen Flight Deck Pro for flight planning, Flight Weather View Plus, and a library of manuals
