Samsung is ditching the traditional fingerprint scanners this year 2019. And as a replacement, you will have something efficient called ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 series will all feature the new fingerprint reader feature.

In fact, the Galaxy S10 in-display fingerprint scanner is a strong technology and does not support usage via screen protector. Also, this will be a really bad business for screen protector manufacturer.

There are many screen manufacturers such as Armadillotek which has faced tough progress preparing its Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ cases. The company said that the testing, which has involved “real” Galaxy S10 phones, shows that the new in-display fingerprint scanner will not work well on Samsung’s new Galaxy S10 phones.

So far, we believe that the lack of screen protector compatibility is not good business for users. This is going to be a huge deal-breaker and disappointment for the next Galaxy S10 phones owners.
