as promised, Huawei is set to unveil its foldable 5G phone at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. The company just released the official video teaser as it invited fans and news reporters to the official announcement.
Huawei unveils Huawei 5G foldable phone
The Huawei 5G Foldable phone release date will be known when it officially launches on February 24 at 14:00 CET.
Some new features you can get from Huawei 5G Foldable smartphone include Huawei’s new Balong 5000 5G modem. This modem is going to be hooked up to a Kirin 980 chipset.
Technically, the company promised “5G phones”, plural, so we might see a non-foldable phone as well.
On top of that, the announcement of Huawei’s 5G phone event is named “Internet of Everything”. This means that the Chinese technology giant will announce the 5G home router and other 5G network components. Besides, the Huawei’s new 5G Network uses the same modem and supports HiLink.
The new router is quite different as it features Wi-Fi 6 as the 802.11ac isn’t fast enough for 5G speeds. Moreover, the phone that Huawei is going to unveil at the MWC 2019 will be the first 5G phone ever made. we are also expecting other phones such as Xiaomi Mi 9Mix 3, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus to feature the 5G technology.
Sub-brand Honor is planning a 5G phone as well. Samsung will unveil its own foldable phone on February 20 and Xiaomi has one in the works, but its reveal date is unclear.
