according to Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller, the letters the Apple uses to identify its brand new phones actually don’t mean anything. This includes the new iPhone XS and XS Max, as well as the iPhone XR. (Except the iPhone X which stands for 10.)
In an interview, Apple’s worldwide marketing vice president Schiller also explained the reference to these letters. He said: “I love cars and things that go fast, and R and S are both letters used to mistify super fast cars.” Referring to (Porsche and Mercedes Benz both having R- and S-Class vehicles, for example.)
As for now, the XS, XS Max, and XR are just letter that we put to compile the X model. But remember, these letters don’t mean anything at all. Apple is a company well known for keeping hidden details, as well as for luxury products in general.B ut for now, Apple smartphone buyers should be assured that there is no secret sauce in Apple’s phone name.
