Today, Samsung launched two new Samsung Galaxy A models in China. They come as the Galaxy A6s and the Galaxy A9s. Besides, these Samsung variants are buyable via SamMobile China. However, the Samsung Galaxy A9s is the is simple the renamed version of Samsung Quad cameras phone for the Chinese market.

The most surprising thing is all about the new Galaxy A6s handset. Reporter Korea Herald stated, Samsung decided to let a Chinese company called Wingtech “producer of Xiaomi phone” to outsource production for low-end Galaxy phones.

For the Samsung Galaxy A6s cameras, there are two 12+12MP cameras on the back and 12MP selfie shooter. The Galaxy A6s screen is a 1080pixel and 6-inch Super AMOLED display. The phone is actually powered by a Snapdragon 660 SOC with 6GB of RAM. It is up to users to go for the 64GB ROM or the 128GB storage variants.

Moreover, Samsung Galaxy A6s price debuts from CNY 1,800 ~ $260 USD. And so far, there is no official news on the phone coming to the international market. Meaning that it might sell only in the Chinese smartphone market.

The arrival of these two Samsung A series is expected to boost Samsung’s sales in China and India.  Most importantly, Samsung is also facing a hard time to compete with Chinese phone makers like Huawei and Xiaomi “Chinese market”. According to reports, Samsung earns less than 1 percent of the share in the Chinese market. This pushed Samsung to close one of its factories in China.

Samsung Mobile CEO DJ Koh also told CNBC that Samsung was changing its strategy to “bring technology and differentiation points starting from the mid-end,” and not focusing on the flagship model. Finally, more Samsung ODM phones could follow, if the Galaxy A6s series sells well in China.
