The Crazy Facebook hack – FBI Investigating
So far, the hackers have not posted anything on users profile, since Facebook currently knows. If your account was viewed, Facebook says you should not do anything now. There were no stolen passwords, so you don’t have to change it yours. Hackers stole account “tokens” which give the final access to your account.
But Facebook already reset the tokens in September 2018. And this is why you might have found yourself logged out of your account sometimes in September. Guy Rosen, Facebook’s VP of product management, said the investigation is ongoing. Since the FBI is involved and also investigating, it’s pretty sure that Facebook will soon share more concrete details.
